Title

Fine tuning of zeolite acidity for efficient catalytic transformations of biomass

Bio

Nataliya Shcherban is a leading researcher of the department of porous substances and materials at L.V. Pisarzhevsky Institute of Physical Chemistry (Ukraine). She has worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Åbo Akademi University (Finland) and Max Planck Institute for Coal Research (Germany). She also has close scientific collaboration with the University of Massachusetts Amherst (USA). She has received many scientific awards such as the Ukrainian award L’Oréal-UNESCO “For women in science - 2018”. She is currently the leader of several research projects aimed at the creation of new zeolite-based catalysts with specified physicochemical characteristics for one-pot cascade processes toward the synthesis of platform molecules from biomass into fuels and industrially valuable organic compounds.
